Cellular localizationNucleus. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton > spindle. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton > spindle pole. During mitosis it is strictly associated with the spindle pole and with the mitotic spindle, whereas during S and G2, it is diffusely distributed throughout the nucleus. Is released from the nucleus in apoptotic cells and is detected on apoptotic microtubules.

Formaldehyde-fixed asynchronous HeLa (Human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) cell stained for TPX2 using ab264124 at a 1/400 dilution in ICC/IF. A red-fluorescent goat anti-rabbit IgG heavy and light chain, cross-adsorbed DyLight® 594 conjugated secondary antibody was used at a dilution of 1/100.
All lanes : Anti-TPX2 antibody (ab264124) at 0.1 µg/ml
Lane 1 : HeLa (Human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate at 5 µg
Lane 2 : HeLa whole cell lysate at 15 µg
Lane 3 : HeLa whole cell lysate at 50 µg
Predicted band size: 86 kDa
Exposure time: 1 minute
TPX2 was immunoprecipitated from 1mg of HeLa (Human epithelial cell line from cervix adenocarcinoma) whole cell lysate with ab264124 at 0.4µg/mg lysate. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab264124 at 0.1µg/ml.
Lane 1: HeLa whole cell lysate 50µg (Input).
Lane 2: ab264124 IP in HeLa whole cell lysate.
Lane 3: ab264124 IP in HeLa whole cell lysate plus blocking peptide.
