"I am working on the brain drug delivery using nanoparticulate system i am looking for the the purchase of the OX26 mAb specific to the rat transferrin receptor (Spargue Dawley Species). I also need details information on the in-vitro biological assay of this antibody which can confirm the activity of this antibody in-vitro." Do you have any possible information? Thanks!

Thank you for the enquiry. All the information that we have regarding this antibody is located on the online datasheet. Ab6331 has been tested for application in Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections), and Flow Cytometry / FACS. Concerning specificity, the information that we have is that it detects the rat CD71 antigen (Mw95kD) transferrin receptor, which is expressed on all cells upon activation. The antibody reacts with leukaemia cell lines and normal dividing cells of various types, and also with a number of non dividing tissues. It does not label lymphopoietic stem cells, although 25% of bone marrow and over 95% of foetal liver cells are labelled. Binds to transferrin receptor expressed at the luminal surface of rat brain capillaries, but does not react with capillaries in other tissues. Does not block transferrin binding.
