1/1000 - 1/10000. Detects a band of approximately 35 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 42 kDa).
The observed MW is lower than the predicted 42kDa, which may be due to the removing of 8KDa transit peptide.

Mitochondrial protein required for formation of the mitochondrial complex III (PubMed:21278747). May also be required for the abcission step in cytokinesis, possibly regulating the ESCRT-III complex via its interaction with CHMP4B (PubMed:20208530). However, the involvement in cytokinesis requires additional experimental evidence.

Belongs to the TTC19 family. Contains 5 TPR repeats.
Mitochondrion inner membrane. Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton > microtubule organizing center > centrosome. Midbody. According to some authors, localizes to the centrosome during all stages of the cell cycle and is recruited to the midbody during cytokinesis (PubMed:20208530). However, the midbody localization could not be confirmed by others.
Immunofluorescence analysis of HT-1080 cells, staining TTC19 (green) with ab181069. Goat anti rabbit IgG (Alexa Fluor®488) was used as a secondary antibody at 1/200 dilution. Counterstained with DAPI (blue)
Western blot analysis on immunoprecipitation pellet from HT-1080, labeling TTC19 immunoprecipitated using ab181069 at 1/70 dilution and HRP-conjugated anti-rabbit IgG preferentially detecting the non-reduced form of rabbit IgG.
