    The enzyme urease catalyzes the hydrolysis of urea to create carbon dioxide and ammonia. The protein consists of a single kind of polypeptide chain containing 840 amino acid residues. The subunit relative molecular mass calculated from the sequence is 90,770, indicating that urease is composed of six subunits.

As far as we are aware, ab34613 and our other two Urease antibodies ab34806 and ab34629 have never been tested with samples from Mycobacterium tuberculosis. All tested and guaranteed species cross-reactivity information is stated on our datasheets, and these are updated as soon as any new information is brought to our attention.

I can confirm that the immunogen sequence for all 3 antibodies is taken from the Jack Bean Urease sequence which can be found on the following link:

I am sorry I am not able to find the Mycobacterium tuberculosis sequence on the protein databases. We recommend alignment should be 85% to predict that an antibody will detect in a different species. If you have the Mycobacterium tuberculosis sequence, I can recommend tocheck the alignment.
