Your rabbit antibody that react with US3 of herpes simplex virus type 1. Does it react also with US3 of herpes simplex virus type 2? Or, was it made using peptide from US3 region of HSV-1 homologous to HSV-2? Thank you in advance for your reply.

Thank you for contacting us. The laboratory that developed the antibody ab92392 reports: The peptide used for the immunogen is unique to the US3 region of HSV-1 and we do not expect the antibody will cross react with US3 of herpes simplex virus type 2. However, to our knowledge this has not been confirmed experimentally. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any more advice or information.
