Is there any news on what would be the best antibody for me to use? Because I am running out of time to do this experiment and I have to undergraduate students kicking their heels until this antibody arrives- any suggestions?
Sorry to hassel you, just haven't heard from you in a while

Thank you for your message which has been forwarded to me as Karin is currently away from the office.
Reviewing the correspondence on this enquiry so far, I notice Karin has selected some antibodies not raised in rabbit and has been in contact with the originators to obtain further information regarding the immunogen sequence so we can work out whether they would detect the two fragments of sequence Karin previously discussed (from SwissProt (Q8MI25 and Q8MI23) align to ˜230-400 and 1020-1200 of human and mouse VEGF Receptor 2 respectively).
I apologise for the delay so far. We are waiting for one more reply. However, the most promising response we have had is regarding ab10972 Anti-VEGF Receptor 2 antibody. The immunogen used to raise this product was purified recombinant mouse VEGF R2 extracellular domain expressed in NSO cells. The human extracellular domain (soluble) corresponds to residues 1-745. We do not know for sure whether these are the exact mouse protein residues in the immunising sequence but it is likely to cover residues 230-400 that has been specified in previous emails.
Please note that regrettably we are not able to guarantee this antibody for Sheep as it has not been tested. The applications it has been tested and guaranteed for are ICC/IF, Indirect ELISA, IHC-P, Flow Cyt, ICC, WB, Neutralising, Blocking.
If you would like to test this antibody in sheep or an untested application, please contact me again by replying to this message prior to the purchase as you may be eligible for our AbTrial testing discount program. I think Karin had mentioned this AbTrial to you before.
Otherwise, we like to encourage all of our customers to submit an Abreview via the online product datasheet. We always appreciate customer feedback, whether positive or negative, and we make all product information available to researchers. Each Abreview earns Abpoints that can be used for discounts on future purchases or rewards such as Amazon.com gift certificates.

I am sorry we do not have a suitably tested antibody to suggest on this occasion. However, I hope this information is helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further questions or concerns.
