                From one ,year, I am the team leader of the IHC team in Cambridge UK. The team is focused on the characterization and validation of antibody using immunohistochemistry techniques. I’ve joined Abcam about 5 years ago working as a Senior Scientist in the Imaging team. Before that I’ve always been working on academia. I was a Postdoc at the “Biotechnology Centre (BIOTEC) of the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD)” working on the generation of transgenic mice for a tamoxifen-induced, conditional expression of the Cre- recombinase in osteoclasts for the study of bone biology and osteoporosis. I’ve got my PhD in Italy (University of Palermo) with a project on the “Gene signature in patients affected by Aut

                Dr. Silvia Sbacchi leads the IHC team in Cambridge, UK. The team is focused on the characterization and validation of antibodies using IHC techniques. Silvia joined Abcam 5 years ago, working as a Senior Scientist in the Imaging team. Prior to this, she worked as a Postdoc at the “Biotechnology Centre (BIOTEC) of the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD)” analyzing the tamoxifen-induced, conditional expression of the Cre- recombinase in osteoclasts as part of bone biology and osteoporosis research. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Palermo, for researching “Gene signatures in patients affected by autism disorder”.
