Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab191088 in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
|IHC-P||Use a concentration of 0.5 - 1 µg/ml. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.|
|WB||Use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.5 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 38 kDa.|
FunctionInvolved in the homologous recombination repair (HRR) pathway of double-stranded DNA, thought to repair chromosomal fragmentation, translocations and deletions. Plays a role in regulating mitochondrial DNA copy number under conditions of oxidative stress in the presence of RAD51 and RAD51C.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the RecA family. RAD51 subfamily.
modificationsPhosphorylated upon DNA damage, probably by ATM or ATR.
Cellular localizationNucleus. Cytoplasm. Cytoplasm > perinuclear region. Mitochondrion. Accumulates in discrete nuclear foci prior to DNA damage, and these foci persist throughout the time course of DNA repair.
- Information by UniProt
- CMM6 antibody
- DNA repair protein XRCC3 antibody
- RAD51 like antibody
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) of rat brain tissue staining XRCC3 with ab191088 at 1 μg/ml.
Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed in citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution) for 20 mins. Biotinylated goat anti-rabbit IgG was used as secondary antibody and incubated for 30 minutes at 37°C. The tissue section was developed using Strepavidin-Biotin-Complex with DAB as the chromogen.
