Negatively regulates transcriptional activation mediated by the SMAD4 complex in response to TGF-beta signaling. Inhibits EP300-mediated acetylation of histone H3 at 'Lys-9' (PubMed:24324267). Plays a role in regulating the transcription of AR targets (PubMed:18656483).

ZNF451/COASTER was immunoprecipitated from Jurkat (human T cell leukemia cell line from peripheral blood) whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) with ab241962 at 6 µg/reaction. Western blot was performed from the immunoprecipitate using ab241962 at 1 µg/ml.
Lane 1: ab241962 IP in Jurkat whole cell lysate.
Lane 2: Control IgG IP in Jurkat whole cell lysate.
Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure time of 30 seconds.
